BOSTON — Jackie Bradley Jr. is now halfway to Joe DiMaggio’s record 56-game hitting streak.

It took the Red Sox’s center fielder all of one pitch to extend his streak to 28 games, as Bradley clubbed a 91-mph fastball by Rockies left-hander Jorge De La Rosa for a double off the Green Monster in left-center to lead off the bottom of the second inning on Tuesday night.

Halfway there! Go JBJ!

A tipster who claimed knowledge of Trump’s hair recently came to Gawker with a potential solution to the enigma: Trump’s hair is not his own, costs tens of thousands of dollars for installation and upkeep, and comes from a man as mysterious as Trump is bombastic.

Last week in Yellowstone National Park, visitors were cited for placing a newborn bison calf in their vehicle and transporting it to a park facility because of their misplaced concern for the animal’s welfare. In terms of human safety, this was a dangerous activity because adult animals are very protective of their young and will act aggressively to defend them. In addition, interference by people can cause mothers to reject their offspring. In this case, park rangers tried repeatedly to reunite the newborn bison calf with the herd. These efforts failed. The bison calf was later euthanized because it was abandoned and causing a dangerous situation by continually approaching people and cars along the roadway.

They put the baby bison in their car BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS COLD. Sigh. Are you kidding me? Humanity is doomed.

(Reuters Health) – Drinking more coffee might help reduce the kind of liver damage that’s associated with overindulging in food and alcohol, a review of existing studies suggests.

Researchers analyzed data from nine previously published studies with a total of more than 430,000 participants and found that drinking two additional cups of coffee a day was linked to a 44% lower risk of developing liver cirrhosis.

Yay, coffee!
